Ghost Stories הוא התוסף הראשון העוסק ב"עולם החשכה" דרך עיניהם של בני-התמותה, ולא דרך אילו של אי-אילו יצורים "על-טבעיים", כך שלא מדובר בספר מקור לציידי-ערפדים, אלא בהיתקלות מעניינת עם עולם החשכה דרך פרספקטיבה של בני אנוש רגילים. כמשתמע משמו, הספר עוסק במפגשיהם של אנשים רגילים כמוכם, עם רוחות רפאים, הנגזרות מ-Wraith: The Oblivion הישן והטוב, מה שמהווה בעצם טעימה לספר מקור שאולי יצא בנושא בעולם החשכה החדש. ועדיין, ככל ספרי "עולם החשכה" החדשים, יהיה ניתן לצרף את התוכן הרשום כאן לכל הרפתקאה המתרחשת בעולם החשכה, גם לזו של הערפדים, אנשי הזאב או המכשפים.
